MINICITIZENS - feel less alone!

Can Ukraine war art make you feel less alone? Minicitizens invites you into a growing world created by a self-taught Ukrainian artist, where contemporary art becomes a companion. Find a character that feels strangely familiar - maybe one of them has been waiting for you.
Minicitizens is an attempt to keep living under the bombing.

By creating characters that carry my fears, thoughts, emotions, and memories, I document reality as it is - hidden behind funny and seemingly simple art. In this sense, Minicitizens has gradually become my personal form of Ukraine war art: a visual diary of everyday life during the w@r.

In late 2023, I began painting with oil on canvas. I wanted to bring Minicitizens into the physical world, so that I - and others - would never be alone in a room again.

Minicitizens are simple and sincere. No masks. No secrets. Just quiet lives on the wall, repeating the same daily routines - the routines you need when times are hard.

As of 2026, while the war continues, new Minicitizens are being born almost daily in both digital and physical forms.

It is the collection that began my journey as a self-taught Ukrainian contemporary artist and continues to evolve alongside my life in Ukraine.

In 2026, the collection was presented in a solo exhibition at a contemporary art gallery in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
